Leagues and seasons

Recurring leagues, seasons, pricing, schedules, and scoring on league nights.

What is the difference between a league and a season?

A league is something you run again and again, with its own public page and history. A season is a stretch of weeks, like Fall, that holds the leagues running in it. Every league in a season shares its courts and appears on one schedule and standings.

  • Build recurring leagues under Admin → Leagues, then run them inside a season under Admin → Seasons.
  • A tournament is a separate kind of event, built under Admin → Tournaments.

How do I add a recurring league?

Open Admin → Leagues and press + New League.

  1. Enter the League Name, and optionally the Night of Week, Venue and Description. The description shows on the league's public page.
  2. Leave Active (shown publicly) ticked to list it on your site.
  3. Press Create League.
  4. To add a logo, press Add a logo, the large square on the league's card: PNG, WebP or JPEG, up to 1 MB.
  • Replace and Remove sit under the logo. Pressing the square also replaces it.
  • The logo shows on your Leagues page, and larger on the league's own page.
  • Sort Order sets the order leagues are listed in.
  • View ↗ opens the league's public page.

How do I create a season?

Open Admin → Seasons and press + New Season. A new season starts as a draft that players cannot see.

  1. Enter the Season Label, such as Fall 2026, and the number of Weeks.
  2. Name the courts the season uses. Every league in the season shares them.
  3. Press Create Season →.
  4. Add the leagues that run in it on the next screen.

How do I add a league to a season?

On the season's page, pick a league from the list next to + Add League and press + Add League. A league's saved defaults fill in the form.

  1. Pick the recurring league, or None for a one-off.
  2. Fill in Name this season, Division (skill) and First Game Night.
  3. Pick the Registration Mode: Team, where captains register a team, or Individual, where players register and you draft them.
  4. Set the Start Time, Match Length and Transition.
  5. Set registration and pricing, then press Add League.
  • Save as this league's defaults stores the form, so the next season starts from it.
  • Division (skill) is Recreational, Intermediate or Premier.

How do I set prices, caps and registration dates for a league?

Open the league from its season's page and tick Registration open for this league. The price, cap and dates appear below it.

  1. Set the Base fee (per team or per player), the League cap (total), and when registration Opens and Closes.
  2. Tick Waitlist when full to take a waitlist once the cap is reached.
  3. Under Registration Options, add the choices players pick from, such as Members and Non-members, each with its own price and cap.
  4. Tick Members only on an option to require an active membership.
  5. Press Save League.
  • Once people have registered, price and option changes apply to new signups only.
  • Lowering the cap below the number registered removes nobody. It closes further signups.

How does early-bird pricing work?

Press + Use early-bird bands in the league editor. Each band sets a lower price for the first seats sold, until its seats run out or its date passes.

  • Seats are counted across the whole league, not per option.
  • Give each band a name, a number of seats and an end date, then fill in the price for every option in every band.
  • Leave the last band's seats and date blank so it stays open.
  • Turn off goes back to one flat price per option.

How do I build a league's schedule?

In a team league, list the teams in the league editor, save the league, and press Generate schedule. The number of weeks comes from the season.

  • The league needs a First Game Night and at least 2 teams first.
  • Registered teams replace the placeholder names you typed.
  • Regenerate schedule replaces the schedule. It is locked once the league has recorded scores.
  • In an individual league, players register and you draft them into teams later.

How do I publish a season?

On the season's page, press Publish season in the Draft box. The box lists anything still missing.

  • Every season needs at least one league, and every league needs a first game night and a registration option.
  • Unpublish (back to draft) is only offered while the season has no registrations.

How do I reuse last season's setup?

Use ⧉ Duplicate next to a season on Admin → Seasons, or Copy leagues from a previous season at the bottom of a season's page.

  • Copying brings over each league's setup, pricing bands and teams.
  • Dates are suggested again, and registration starts closed.

Each court in a season gets its own link. Whoever holds it can post that court's games and nothing else, until 11am the morning after they are played.

  1. Open the season's page and find Court Score Entry Links.
  2. Press Generate link for each court.
  3. Hand it out with Copy link, or with Show QR for a code to scan.
  4. Make sure scoring is on: open Scores, standings & match day →, find Live Score Entry and press Enable.
  • Regenerate issues a new link and stops the old one at once.
  • Revoke turns a link off for good. It cannot be brought back, and you can generate a new one afterwards.
  • Scores post the moment they are entered. There is no approval step.

How do I print a QR card for each court?

Press Print QR cards beside Court Score Entry Links on the season's page. You get one card per court with a live link, ready to print and tape up.

  • Regenerating or revoking a link makes its printed card stop working. Print a new one.

How do I find games nobody scored?

Open Night Review on the season's page and step through the nights. A game with no score says "Nobody has entered this game."

  • Night Review is read-only. To change a score, open the game on Scores, standings & match day.

How do I delete a season or a league?

For a season, use Delete season… at the bottom of its page and type its name to confirm. For a recurring league, press Delete on its card under Admin → Leagues.

  • Deleting a season deletes its leagues, teams, divisions, courts, pricing and schedule.
  • Anything holding registrations, payment records, player history or recorded scores is protected. A refused delete removes nothing.
  • To retire a recurring league you cannot delete, edit it and untick Active.
